The US State Department: Recognising the Moroccan's of the Sahara... The US position "has not changed"

On Thursday, the United States of America reiterated that there is "no change" in its position regarding the recognition of Morocco's sovereignty over the Sahara.

State Department spokesman Ned Price stressed during a press conference that "this will remain the position of the administration" of President Joe Biden.

He stressed that "there is no change" on this issue, in a clear continuation of the US position on the issue of Morocco's full and complete sovereignty over its Sahara.

Through a presidential declaration, signed on December 10, the United States Recognising its official recognition of the Kingdom's full and complete sovereignty over the Sahara.

The text of the declaration was then distributed to the 193 member states of the United Nations, as an official document of the Security Council. In the letter sent on this occasion to the President of the Security Council, and a copy of which was sent to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the United States stated that the Moroccan proposal for autonomy is “the only basis for a just and lasting solution” to the dispute over the Sahara.
